A fine antique Victorian 15 carat yellow gold and diamond drop brooch; part of the AC Silver jewellery range

Description

This brooch has a 15 carat yellow gold pierced decorated winged-shaped frame fitted with two articulated pear-shaped drops

It is set with a combination of Old European cut and old Dutch cut diamonds.

The 'wings' emanate from a millegrain set 0.07ct Old European cut diamond below which a 0.33ct and 0.05ct Old European cut diamonds with two 0.05ct old Dutch cut diamonds are suspended in a drop shaped mount via two sepal-like leaves claw set with three 0.05ct old Dutch cut diamonds.

Each wing has a pierced decorated foliate and honeycomb design frame set with further Old European cut and old Dutch cut diamonds.

The lower border of the wings is embellished with a total of twenty 0.06ct millegrain set Old European cut diamonds.

A 0.10ct Old European cut diamond is set at the juction of the wing borders, from where a further pear shaped mount set with 0.08ct and 0.01ct Old European cut diamonds and two 0.02ct old Dutch cut diamonds, is supended via two 0.06ct old Dutch cut diamonds.

All the diamonds are silver set.

The Victorian brooch is fitted with a hinged pin and safety clip to the reverse.

This brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate.

Condition

This brooch is fine quality, set with very good clear diamonds.

It is in excellent condition.
