Description

An exceptional and impressive antique 4.89 carat diamond solitaire ring, displayed in a contemporary platinum setting; part of our diverse diamond jewellery collections

This impressive antique Old European round cut diamond is displayed in a sympathetic contemporary platinum ring.

The 4.89 carat diamond solitaire is held in a simple yet effective six double claw setting.

The subtly elevated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain platinum hallmarked shank.

The contemporary platinum shank is clearly hallmarked to the interior with the platinum mark (950), maker's mark 'DOM' and the Birmingham Assay office hallmark (anchor).

This diamond ring is illustrated with a circa 1960's 14ct white gold setting; this can be used as an alternative upon request.

The elevated, pierced decorated ring shoulders are embellished with forty eight pavé set modern brilliant round cut diamonds.

The impressive eight claw basket setting incorporates a further 6 pavé set diamonds.

The alternative setting has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 14 ct white gold.

This large diamond solitaire ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the feature diamond, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the alternative setting.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
