The top of the cover of the box is ornamented with a further large coiling dragon design.

The interior of this impressive double skin box has a cedar wood lining.

The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine CES box include the retailer's mark and icon for Kuhn & Kormor*.

This oriental box has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as pure (1000/1000) silver.

This antique Chinese Export silver box is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type.

Condition

This Chinese silver box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in excellent condition, in keeping with age.

There are some pin hole blemishes in the whiskers to the dragon on the body and at some period the upper edge of the cover has had lead strengthening.

The wear to this piece is to be expected with age and function, but does not detract from the overall aesthetic appearance. Such double skinned boxes of this type are rare to the market, and is therefore worthy of inclusion in the AC Silver inventory.

The decoration is very sharp.

The retailer's mark to the underside of the box are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique Asian silverware.
