Description

This fine antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) goblet has a bell shaped form onto a plain circular spreading pedestal foot.

The body of the goblet has a textured matte surface embellished with an iconic chased decorated Chinese dragon amidst clouds.

There is a shield shaped vacant cartouche to the centre front of the goblet.

The rim of the goblet is encircled with a thread decorated border and the interior of the goblet is gilded.

The hallmarks struck to the rim of this fine goblet include:

Maker’s mark: WS (Woshing)

Character mark: Untraced

Condition

This fine antique Chinese Export Silver goblet is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent, presentation condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Hallmarks struck to the rim of the foot are clear.
