Description

These antique Victorian cut glass and sterling silver claret jugs have a circular bulbous form with a tapering neck.

The body of each claret jug is embellished with star cut decoration.

The base of each jug is ornamented with a large star cut decoration.

Each claret jug is fitted with the original plain hallmarked sterling silver mount.

The domed hallmarked hinged covers are fitted with a pierced decorated thumbpiece.

These antique claret jugs are embellished with bead decoration to the cover, spout, mount and collar.

Each claret jug is fitted with a fine shaped scroll decorated handle.

Condition

These Victorian claret jugs are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each jug and part hallmarks struck to each cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of Victorian silverware.
