A fine and impressive pair of antique Danish cast silver candlesticks; part of our antique silver candlestick and candelabra collection

Description

These antique Danish cast silver candlesticks have a plain tapering column to a plain bell shaped spreading circular foot.

The lower portion of each column is embellished with chased water leaf decoration.

Each candlestick has a circular spreading campania shaped hallmarked capital embellished with fluted decoration to a chased stylised leaf decorated knop.

These fine candlesticks retain the original push fit sconces with fluted decorated rims.

Each candlestick displays full hallmarks including the Danish mark which guarantees silver fineness of 826.

The bases are not weighted.

Condition

These antique silver candlesticks are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The decoration to each candlestick is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the rim of each candlestick are clear; hallmarks are all legible in keeping with age.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of Danish silverware.
