A fine and impressive vintage Danish sterling silver cordial / water jug made by Georg Jensen: part of our vintage Danish silverware collection


Description


This fine vintage Danish sterling silver jug has a circular rounded gourd shaped form with a waisted neck and flared rim.


The surface of this vintage piece has a planished finish.


This piece of impressive silverware is fitted with a shaped ribbed carved ivory and silver handle featuring Jensen's iconic stylised grape/bead ornamentation below the upper terminal.


The hallmarks struck to the underside of this jug include:

Maker’s mark: Georg Jensen

Designer’s mark: JJ (Jorgen Jensen)

Country mark: Denmark

Silver quality/purity mark: Sterling (925/1000)


Condition


This vintage jug is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the jug are all very clear.
