Description

The pieces of this impressive antique French silver four piece tea service have a plain octagonal panelled form onto a colet foot.

The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished.

The teapot is fitted with a hinged octagonal cover surmounted by an octagonal cushion shaped ivory finial.

The sugar bowl has a detachable push fit cover and also features an octagonal cushion shaped ivory finial.

The sugar bowl features Art Deco style carrying handles to either side.

The cream boat and milk jug retain the original carved ivory handles.

The teapot is fitted with the original carved ivory C scroll handle and an impressive swan necked spout ornamented with a bird's head decorated terminal.

This fine tea service is hallmarked with the Minerva head hallmark (European silver guarantee mark) denoting 950 standard silver.

This antique tea service is displayed on a tray for illustrative purposes only - the tray (W4686) may be purchased separately from the AC Silver inventory if so desired.

Condition

This antique four piece tea service is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

This impressive French silver tea service has been professionally polished.

The ivory handles feature some minor crazing as would be expected in keeping with age.

The Minerva head hallmark struck to the surface and foot of each piece is clear.
