Description

This fine claret jug has a blown glass body with an applied thread decorated handle.

The silver gilt hinged hallmarked cover and mount has been modelled in the form of a Sulpher Crested Cockatoo's head.

The cockatoo's head is set with bead eyes.

The jug is supported by two realistically modelled hallmarked silver gilt legs.

Condition

This fine claret jug is fine quality and in excellent condition.

The silver gilt mount is an exceptional gauge of silver.

The mount, cover and silver gilt legs are all clearly hallmarked, struck with the Minerva head 950 standard silver quality mark.
