This exceptional antique Indian silver two handled tea tray has a plain rectangular shaped form.
This tray has a raised convex border ornamented with fine and impressive embossed and chased decoration depicting a rural farming village scene and iconic wild Indian animals.
The tray is further embellished with shaped scallop shell decorated corners.
The surface of this antique tea tray is embellished with an engraved contemporary initial ‘F’ towards one corner.
The silver tray is fitted with a fine and impressive pair of chased leaf decorated shaped handles.
The hallmarks struck to the underside of one handle include:

City mark: Bhowanipur, Calcutta

Condition
This antique tea tray is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
The decoration to this impressive tea tray is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the handle are very clear.
