A fine and impressive antique Edwardian Irish sterling silver bowl; part of our silverware collection

Description

This Edwardian Irish sterling silver bowl has a circular rounded form onto three very impressive cast and applied lion mask and paw feet.

The body of the bowl is embellished with fine chased opposing scroll and floral decoration accented with fruit motifs.

There is a scroll decorated oval vacant shaped cartouche to one side of this antique bowl.

The well of the bowl is plain and unembellished.

This fine Irish silver bowl has a plain shaped rim.

The base of the bowl displays the retailer's mark 'Weir & Sons'.

Condition

This Irish sterling silver bowl is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and is in excellent presentation condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the bowl are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Irish silverware.
