This fine antique Edwardian Irish sterling silver cream jug and matching sugar bowl have a circular rounded form.
The surface of each piece is embellished with impressive chased floral, foliage and scroll decoration incorporating a bordered shaped vacant cartouche to either side.
Both pieces are ornamented with fine and impressive applied floral and scroll decorated borders.
The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with opposing scroll handles ornamented with scrolling leaf decoration incorporating an impressive figurehead to the upper portion and scrolling lower terminal.
The circular shaped spreading foot of each piece is embellished with chased floral and scroll decoration.
Condition
Both pieces of this antique set are a very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The applied and chased decoration is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each piece are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of Irish silverware .
