Description

This fine vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver sauce tureen has a plain Adams style form onto a swept oval foot.

The tureen is embellished with a thread decorated rim.

The plain domed hallmarked cover is surmounted with an urn style finial.

The tureen has elegant loop style handles.

This tureen retains the original matching oval hallmarked sterling silver stand in addition to the accompanying Old English pattern hallmarked sterling silver sauce ladle.

Condition

The pieces of this fine sauce tureen set are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The set has been professionally polished and in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the body of the tureen, to the surface of the tray and to the reverse of the ladle are all very clear.

Part hallmarks, as expected, struck to the rim of the cover are also very clear.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these items.
