A fine vintage Movado Ermeto 18ct yellow gold self winding pocket / purse watch; an addition to the AC Silver watch and clock collections

Description

This fine vintage Movado* Ermeto pocket / purse watch has been crafted in 18 carat yellow gold.

The Ermeto watch is characterised by its classic pillow-shaped form with protective sliding shells.

These particular shells are embellished with bands of engine turned decoration.

The shells slide apart to reveal the rectangular watch dial with gold coloured hands, hour markers and numerals denoting 3, 6, 9 and 12.

The watch face displays the makers mark 'Movado' and the origin 'Switzerland'.

This very collectable watch has the self winding mechanism, activated by the opening and closing of the hallmarked shells.

The watch may also be manually wound and set by using the mongrammed crown.

This versitile pocket watch may be used as a travel clock, by employing the small hinged easel stand to the reverse as a support.

In this instance, the stand is engraved with the names 'EK Ives' and 'W Bradley'

This fine Movado watch is fitted with a ring loop attachment to which either a chain or fine leather strap may be connected.

Condition

This vintage Swiss made pocket / purse watch is a very good gauge of gold, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The watch is in full working order.
