Description

This antique Newcastle silver cup has a plain bell shaped form onto a pedestal foot.

The body of this George III cup is embellished with a plain girdle.

This fine provincial made cup is fitted with two plain S scroll handles, both struck with the makers’ mark.

This Newcastle silver cup is a fine example of its type; such small examples are rare to the market.

This fine provincial mug was made by the renowned Newcastle silversmiths John Langlands I and John Robertson I

Condition

This antique cup is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface and part hallmarks to each handle are all very clear; although there is some wear due to hallmark location.

The cup has a couple of minor dings to one handle in keeping with age.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
