A fine set of antique Victorian Newcastle sterling silver fiddle and shell pattern desert forks; part of our Newcastle silverware / cutlery collection


Description
 
This fine set of antique sterling silver dessert forks consists of twelve forks which have a fiddle pattern form.
 
The anterior face of each fork handle is embellished with a shell decorated terminal in addition to the engraved initial 'F'.
 
These provincial made antique sterling silver forks were made by the well known Newcastle silvermith Christian John Reid.
 
Condition
 
These Victorian dessert forks are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.
This antique set is in presentation condition.
The shell decoration to each terminal is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the reverse surface of each fork are very clear.
 
Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these items.
