Description

This fine antique George III Newcastle sterling silver presentation cup has a circular bell shaped form to a tapering circular pedestal onto a circular spreading foot.

The body of this large cup is plain and unembellished with a plain applied moulded rim.

This fine cup is fitted with two impressive thread decorated loop style handles with consecutive lobed designs to the upper terminals.

This impressive example of Georgian silverware was crafted by the renowned Newcastle silversmith John Langlands II.
