These antique sterling silver tureens have an Adams style urn shaped form onto an oval spreading pedestal foot.
The lower portion of the body to each antique tureen is embellished with fluted decoration.
The rim and foot of each tureen are ornamented with reed decoration.
These antique tureens retain their original hallmarked push fit domed covers, surmounted with Adams style urn shaped finials.
The covers are further embellished with fluted decoration.
These antique tureens are fitted with thread decorated loop handles.
These impressive tureens were both made by Martin Hall & Co, one in 1899, and the other in 1904.
The tureens are identical.
Condition
These antique sterling silver tureens are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.
Each tureen has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the body and to the interior of the cover of each tureen are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware .
