Description

These antique William IV sterling silver sauce tureens have a large oval rounded panelled form.

Each tureen is supported by four bold and impressive applied and chased floral and acanthus leaf decorated feet.

The tureens are fitted with impressive applied and chased vine leaf decorated handles and a similarly ornamented cover handle.

These splendid fully hallmarked detachable handles secure to the interior of the tureen via a hallmarked wing nut.

The shaped rim of each tureen is embellished with applied and chased scrolling leaf and shell decoration.

These antique sterling silver tureens are fitted with domed panelled hallmarked covers.

Condition

These large and impressive sauce tureens are an exceptional gauge of silver, fine and exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each tureen, the rim of each cover and handle are all very clear.
