This is a fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian sterling silver and ivory handled fish servers.
The blade of the knife has a shaped form.
Both of these fine servers are embellished with pierced and bright cut scrolling acanthus leaf engraved decoration.
The surface of the knife blade is ornamented with a fine bright cut engraved scene depicting an angler landing a fish.
The reverse of both the knife blade and the fork feature a bright cut engraved shaped cartouche engraved with the initial 'S'.
The servers are fitted with impressive shaped carved ivory handles, featuring bead decoration with palmette terminals.
Both servers are fitted with bead decorated ferrules.
This fine pair of fish servers are fitted to the original box.
Condition
These antique fish servers are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.
These impressive fish servers are in presentation condition.
The box shows some signs of wear as you would expect, however it is still in very good condition in keeping with age.
The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of both servers are very clear.
