A fine pair of antique George V sterling silver Regency style sauceboats; part of our dining silverware collection


Description


These fine sauceboats have been made in the George III, fluted Regency style.


They have a plain oval bulbous form onto an oval shaped pedestal foot which has chased shell decoration.


Each sauceboat has a gadroon decorated rim which converges at the handle to a shaped chased scrolling shell decorated terminal.


The sauceboats are fitted with impressive S scroll handles which are embellished with acanthus leaf chased decorated thumbpieces.


Condition


These impressive Georgian style sauceboats are an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The hallmarks struck to the body of each are all very clear.
