A fine and impressive pair of antique George V English sterling silver three light candelabra; an addition to our silverware collection

Description

These fine antique sterling silver three light candelabra have circular knopped capitals, a circular tapering knopped stem to a circular spreading foot.

Each candelabrum has been crafted in the George III style.

The candelabra have two scrolling thread decorated arms supporting the capitals which retain the original detachable hallmarked sconces.

These fine, large and impressive candelabra are ornamented with gadroon decoration around the sconces, capitals, stem and foot.

The candelabra have weighted bases fitted with green baize to the underside.

Condition

These George V candelabra are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

There are a small number of minor dings and surface blemishes in keeping age.

The gadroon decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each base, surface candelabra colet and surface colet sconces are very clear.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these items.
