A fine pair of antique Persian silver and enamel vases, part of our ornamental silverware collection

Description

These fine antique Persian silver vases have an Ali-Baba shaped form.

The surface of each vase is embellished with four amorphous shaped panels with inlaid enamel scenes depicting stylised birds in a floral setting on a textured background.

The remainder of the vase body is also embellished with similar inlaid enamel flowers on a textured background, bordered by bands of engraved floral decoration.

Condition

These fine antique Persian vases are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

There are some minor losses to the enamel in keeping with age, but this does not detract from the overall appearance of this fine pair of vases.

The engraved decoration is very sharp.

These pieces are unhallmarked.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these examples of antique silverware.
