This fine antique Russian silver gilt and polychrome enamel napkin ring has an oval form.
Both the upper and lower rims of the napkin ring are embellished with a moulded woven border.
The exterior surface of the napkin ring is ornamented with cloisonné interlacing scroll and stylised leaf designs and bands of bead decoration using white, red and two shades of blue polychrome enamel on a matte background.
The enamel decoration incorporates a circular bordered floral motif to one side and a bordered vacant circular plain silver gilt cartouche to the other.

Silver quality/purity mark : 84 (84 zolotniks 875/1000)
City mark : St George and Dragon (Moscow)
Condition
This antique Russian napkin ring is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.
This napkin ring is in fine condition in keeping with age; a few black markings to the interior and minor breaks to the cloisonné borders do not detract from the overall appearance.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the napkin ring are all very clear.
