This fine antique Russian silver purse has an ovoid form.

The surface of this impressive piece has a frosted finish.

The cover is embellished with engraved scrolling leaf designs, incorporating a panel of stylised trellis decoration in addition to a shaped cartouche.

The hallmarked hinged cover secures with a push fit catch and opens to reveal the original interior with incorporated purse dividers.

Silver quality/purity mark: 84 (84 zolotniks*)

Kokoshnik Mark: ил (Иван Сергеевич Лебедкин/Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin, Moscow)

This antique Russian purse is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type, exceptional quality and in excellent condition in keeping with age.
