Description


This fine Edwardian mesh / chain mail purse has been crafted entirely in 9ct yellow gold.


The purse has a cut cornered rectangular form in gold mesh, suspended from a solid incurved hallmarked, hinged frame.


The lower border of this unusual antique 9ct gold purse is ornamented with four small, drop-style gold balls.


The hinged frame is embellished to the anterior face with eleven, low claw set, Old European round cut diamonds, graduating in size, totalling 3.16ct.


The posterior face of the frame is plain and unembellished apart from being fitted with a small articulated ring loop attachment.


This Edwardian ladies' purse secures at the upper border with a ball style snap-clasp.


The purse is fitted with a gold chain and hallmarked ring loop attachment to allow it to be clipped to a wristband, pocket or belt.


This impressive Edwardian purse/evening bag is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

Condition


This impressive example of an Edwardian accessory is fine quality, set with old cut diamonds.

The purse is in excellent condition, and the hallmarks to the frame are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this impressive mesh purse.
