Description

This exceptional antique double Albert watch chain has been crafted in 9 ct rose gold.

The watch chain is made up of rounded curb links graduating in size, each of which is clearly hallmarked with the fineness marks for 9 ct gold (375 and 9).

This antique double Albert rose gold watch chain is fitted at either end with the original swivel link catches; both struck with the maker's mark 'DB' and the 9 ct gold fineness mark (375).

The chain is fitted with a central hallmarked T-bar.

The hallmarks include the Birmingham Assay Office hallmark (anchor) and maker's mark 'DB'.

Condition

This impressive antique double Albert watch chain is fine quality and is a very good gauge of gold.

The antique watch chain is in excellent condition with hallmarks to the T-bar, and part hallmarks to individual links; the hallmarks show some signs of wear in keeping with the age, but remain predominately clear and legible.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique jewellery/jewelry.
