Description


This very fine and very impressive Austrian cigar cutter has been realistically modelled in cast sterling silver in the form of a boar's head, mounted on a genuine boar's tusk.


The silver boar's head is embellished with a cabochon ruby eye.


The boar's snout conceals the hinged spring cigar cutter.


The associated push fit catch is located to the underside of the boar's chin.


The boar's head is mounted on a natural boar tusk handle.


This cigar cutter is struck with the importer's marks for Gourdel Vales & Co.

Condition


This rare, large cigar cutter has a fine quality cast sterling silver mount and an impressive boar tusk.

Hallmarks, including London import marks, struck to the surface of the mount are all clear.
