Description


This fine antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) christening mug has a cylindrical tapering form.


The surface of the mug is embellished with a bright cut engraved scene depicting a traditional illustration of a Chinese crane perched on a pine tree branch.


This antique mug is fitted with a handle modelled in the form of a bamboo stalk.


The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine mug include:

Maker’s mark: WS (Woshing/Wo Shing)

Character mark: Untraced

Condition


This antique Chinese Export Silver mug is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent, presentation condition.

The hallmarks struck to the underside of the christening mug are very clear.
