Description


This exceptional antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) hand mirror has a circular form with a plain rounded handle.


The reverse of this Chinese mirror is embellished with a fine and impressive embossed and chased decorated scene depicting traditionally dressed characters in a mountainous surround accented with architectural and foliate features.


This hand mirror retains the original glass and shows a clear reflection.


The hallmarks struck to the surface of this impressive mirror include:

Maker's mark: WH (Wang Hing & Company)

Silver quality/purity mark: 90 (90 standard, 900/1000)

Character maker: Untraced


Mirrors of this condition and quality of Chinese Export Silver are scarce to the market.

This antique Chinese mirror is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The embossed and chased decoration is very sharp.
