Description
This vesta case has a plain rectangular form.
The front of the case has an enamel panel depicting a bedroom scene with a nude Victorian lady admiring herself in the mirror with her clothes draped across a chair.
The reverse of this fine vesta is plain.
There is a ring loop attachment to one side of the vesta.
The flush hinged hallmarked cover extends over the side of the vesta to create a plain rounded thumbpiece.
There is the customary serrated striker to the end of the vesta.
Condition
This fine vesta case is an extremely good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent condition.
The enamel is in perfect condition.
There are surface scratches in keeping with the age of the vesta.
Apart from the maker's mark to the reverse of the vesta which is worn, the hallmarks struck to the back and to the interior of the cover are clear.
