This silver and enamel cigarette case has a rectangular plain form.
The hinged front cover has an enamelled, hand-painted scene depicting a female nude being 'hosed down' whilst a young man waits in the background with a large towel at the ready.
The front cover has a shaped thumbpiece to the upper corner.
The reverse cover has a hallmarked push fit catch struck with 900 denoting the grade of silver in addition to the maker's mark H*M.
The interior of the cigarette case is gilt and is also stuck with the 900 notation.
This cigarette case is a very good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent condition.
The enamel is in perfect condition.
The hallmarks struck to the interior of the case and to the catch are clear.
