Description
This magnificent antique George IV Irish sterling silver coffee pot has a compressed panelled baluster shaped form onto four bracket style feet.
The lower portion of this impressive coffee pot is embellished with significant floral and leaf chased decoration incorporating shaped cartouche to either side.
To one side, the cartouche displays an earl's coronet and the other side features a wyvern with wings addorsed.
This fine coffee pot is fitted with a hallmarked domed melon style cover which retains the fine and impressive hallmarked flower and leaf finial.
The rim of this fine coffee pot features an applied flower and leaf decorated border.
The coffee pot has an impressive leaf decorated scroll handle with two ivory resistors.
This George IV coffee pot has a fine and impressive cast sterling silver swan necked spout embellished with textured and climbing flower chased decoration.
The four shaped bracket feet are ornamented with significant leaf decoration.
Condition
This antique coffee pot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in excellent presentation condition.
The chased decoration is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the base and part hallmarks struck to the cover and finial are very clear.
