Description


This fine George VI turned ivory and English sterling silver pepper grinder has a tapering circular, waisted shaped form.


The tapering body of this antique pepper grinder is encircled with three concentric hallmarked sterling silver bands featuring paralleling screws.


This impressive piece of antique silverware retains the original turned ivory cover surmounted by the original hallmarked sterling silver functional, shaped finial, which when unscrewed provides access to permit the grinder to be filled.


Date: 1937

Condition


This antique pepper grinder is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The ivory is in perfect condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each strap and lion passant to the finial are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this antique piece.
