Description


This fine antique Georgian sterling silver pint mug has a plain baluster shaped form onto a spreading circular foot.


The mug is plain and unembellished.


The S scroll handle displays the contemporary engraved initials ‘HES’ and is struck with the makers mark.


This fine provincial mug was made by the renowned Newcastle silversmiths John Langlands I and John Robertson I


Date: 1788

Condition


This antique pint mug is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside, and part hallmarks struck to the handle are very clear; the makers mark to the handle is rubbed but legible.


Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this piece of Georgian silverware
