Condition

This fine early provincial Newcastle tankard is very good gauge of silver, fine quality and excellent condition in keeping with age.

There are two minor dings to the handle, these do not detract from the overall appearance.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body, the lion passant mark and duty mark to the cover are legible, although slightly rubbed in keeping with age.

The maker’s mark to the handle is rubbed but remains legible under a 10x magnifier.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of early Georgian silverware.
