Description


This fine antique George III Newcastle sterling silver teapot stand/waiter has a plain oval form.


The surface of this fine example of Georgian silverware is plain and unembellished with a plain applied moulded rim to the swept raised border.


This teapot stand is supported on four bracket style feet embellished with lobed decoration bordered with subtle scroll and ball ornamentation to the lower portion.


This impressive example of antique silverware was crafted by the renowned Newcastle silversmith John Langlands II.


Date: 1796

Condition


This antique Newcastle silver waiter is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the waiter are very clear.


Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this piece of Georgian silverware.
