Description


These impressive George III sterling silver sauceboats have a boat shaped form onto three cast feet.


The body of each piece is embellished with chased floral and leaf decoration, incorporating a scroll bordered shaped vacant cartouche to one side of each piece.


Each sauceboat is supported on three impressive shell decorated cast feet.


The upper rim of these large Georgian silver sauce boats have a shaped Chippendale style border.


These fine sauceboats are fitted with shaped scrolling handles ornamented with acanthus leaf decorated thumbpieces and bifurcating lower terminals.


Date: 1765

Condition


These antique silver sauce boats are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each sauceboat are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of Georgian silverware.
