Description


These fine antique George V sterling silver sauceboats have a plain oval bulbous form onto an oval shaped pedestal foot, made in the George III Regency style.


The lower portion of each sauceboat is embellished with subtle fluted decoration in a swirl design.


The rim of each sauceboat is ornamented with a gadroon decorated border which converges at the handle to a shaped chased scrolling shell decorated terminal.


These antique sauceboats are fitted with impressive S scroll handles which are embellished with chased decorated stylised leaf thumbpieces.


The shaped rim to each oval foot is ornamented with a chased scroll and shell motif decorated border.


Date: 1930

Condition


These impressive Georgian style sauceboats are an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the body of each are all very clear.
