Description


These fine antique George III sterling silver sauceboats have a boat shaped form onto three cast feet.


One side of the body of each piece is embellished with a bright cut engraved crest of a demi-phoenix in flames.


Each sauceboat is supported on three impressive hoof style cast feet.


These Georgian sauceboats have an embossed bead decorated border to the rim.


These fine sauceboats are fitted with shaped handles ornamented with leaf decorated thumbpieces and bifurcating scrolling lower terminals.


These collectable Georgian sauceboats were crafted by the renowned London silversmith Hester Bateman.


Date: 1778

Condition


These antique sauceboats are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each sauceboat are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of Georgian silverware.
