Description


These very fine antique Victorian sterling silver tazza have a compote/tazza style form.


The shallow circular cranberry coloured glass liners are supported by circular embossed fluted decorated sterling silver bowls with cast pedestals and bases.


The pedestal of each tazza is ornamented with an impressive mask and stylised floral decorated tapering knop.


Each circular foot is embellished with fruiting vine and fluted decoration.


The feet have a scroll decorated shaped border accented with acanthus leaf and lion mask motifs.


Date: 1896

Condition


These antique Victorian tazza are an exceptional gauge of silver, very fine quality and in exceptional condition.

This pair of tazza has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The impressive cast decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each dish are all very clear.
