Description


These fine Edwardian sterling silver and tortoiseshell menu/card holders have an oval shape onto a plain oval base.


Each menu/card holder is embellished with a tortoiseshell panel with a silver frame, ornamented with silver stylised elliptical shaped motif and garland pique work.


The menu/card holders are further embellished with reed decorated borders accented with tied laurel motifs.


This set of four Edwardian holders is fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, bearing the retailer’s mark to the interior cover.


Date: 1909

Condition


These impressive antique holders are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The box is also in excellent presentation condition in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to each base are all very clear.


Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these pieces of Edwardian silverware.
