Description


These fine George V sterling silver card/menu holders have a shaped crimped bordered circular frame and rounded angular support onto a plain circular base.


The holders are individually embellished with an animal to the centre of the plain crimped frame.


The central duck, dog, pheasant, deer, horse and fox designs are ornamented with bright cut engraved decoration replicating the details of their shape and features.


This impressive set of antique menu holders is fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, secured with a push fit catch.


Date: 1929

Condition


These impressive antique menu holders are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional condition.

Each menu holder has been professionally polished.

The exterior of the box has been repainted and is in excellent presentation condition, in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each holder are all very clear.


Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware.
