Description


This antique Victorian sterling silver teapot has a plain rounded form with a flared rim to the shoulders.


The lower portion of the teapot is embellished with embossed fluted decoration.


This small / bachelor teapot is fitted with a domed flush hinged hallmarked cover; the flush hinge is a sign of quality in this piece.


The cover is surmounted by the original circular domed sterling silver finial embellished with further fluted decoration.


This fine Victorian teapot retains the original ribbed angular handle ornamented with a tri-lobed leaf decorated upper socket.


This antique teapot has a swan necked spout with further embossed fluted decoration to the underside of the lower portion and an applied tri-lobed design to the lip.


Date: 1885

Condition


This antique teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional condition.

The teapot has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside and part hallmarks to the cover and handle of the teapot are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Victorian teaware.
