Description

This impressive antique Edwardian sterling silver box has been realistically modelled in the form of a camel couchant.

The surface of the silver is embellished with chased decoration detailing the camel's features and surrounding terrain.

This impressive sterling silver box retains the original hallmarked push fit cover in the form of a saddle bag.

The camel vessel is fitted to the original rectangular painted wood plinth which has leatherette to the underside.

This box is a very high quality and unusual piece.

Date: 1904

Condition

This antique box is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The chased decoration is sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the terrain and part hallmarks to the sleeve of the cover are all very clear.
