The box lid is embellished with brass string inlaid decoration with a central vacant shield shaped cartouche.

*Predominately all antique silver canteens have replacement knives as the originals have not stood the test of time.

**"Straight" means all the pieces are made by the same maker in the same year

Date: 1824

The pieces of this impressive antique silver canteen are a very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece are all very clear.
