Description


This exceptional antique Edward VIII sterling silver cocktail shaker has a tapering cylindrical form onto a plain circular spreading foot.


The surface of the cocktail shaker is plain and unembellished.


This cobbler shaker retains the original hallmarked domed upper portion with an integrated pierced decorated strainer.


The rim of the domed portion is encircled with an impressive applied leaf festoon style border.


This impressive example of antique silverware is fitted with a cylindrical, hallmarked sterling silver push fit cover; this cover can be used as a measure for spirits in addition to its specified use to contain the liquids during shaking/mixing.

Condition


This antique sterling silver cocktail shaker/cobbler shaker is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The applied decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each component of the shaker are all very clear.
