The body of the jug is embellished with fine bright cut engraved floral festoons and stylised husk swags accented with circular motifs.

The ornamentation to the front of the jug incorporates a bright cut engraved ribbon bow with scrolling working ends with a bordered rounded escutcheon shaped vacant cartouche suspended below.

The upper portion of both the body and foot is embellished with a bright cut engraved interlacing undulating line border with a band of bead decoration around the rims.

This fine example of Georgian silverware is fitted with an impressive narrow loop handle ornamented with plain applied decoration.

The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.
