Description


This impressive George III antique silver cream jug has a helmet shaped form onto a pedestal with a circular spreading foot and plain square base.


The body of the jug is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved initial ‘EB’.


The body and circular foot are encircled with an impressive band of applied bead decoration to the rim.


This fine example of Georgian silverware is fitted with a narrow loop handle ornamented with plain applied moulded decoration.


This impressive antique cream jug, crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmiths Peter and Ann Bateman, is a fine example of its type.


Date: 1794

Condition


This antique jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the jug are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this antique Georgian silverware.
