Description


This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver photograph frame has a rectangular shaped form with a domed upper portion.


This Edwardian photo frame is embellished with impressive embossed and pierced scrolling leaf decoration accented with a winged putto design to each corner.


The shaped upper border of the frame incorporates a leaf bordered vacant cartouche and the lower border bears a leaf mask ornamentation.


This impressive photo frame is fitted with a wood back and hinged strut, secured with a swivel catch; the body and strut of the frame have been recovered in green velvet replicating the same appearance as the original covering.


This fine antique piece is inset with a removable glass panel.

Condition


This Edwardian photo frame is a very good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The embossed and pierced decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the frame are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Edwardian silverware.
